RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane Files Candidacy for 2026 House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu, Jan 20, 2026 – Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has officially registered his candidacy for the upcoming House of Representatives election, scheduled for March 5, 2026. Lamichhane filed his nomination for the Chitwan Constituency No. 2 seat through a power of attorney issued to Sita Gyawali, chairperson of the RSP Bharatpur Metropolitan Committee, due to his commitments at the District Court in Parsa where he is attending a cooperative fraud case. His name was formally proposed and seconded by party members at the election office.
