New Ministers of Balen-led cabinet

KATHMANDU – Following the appointment of Balendra (Balen) Shah as Nepal’s Prime Minister, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has finalised the list of ministers for the new government.

According to party sources, Swarnim Wagle has been confirmed as the Finance Minister, while Shishir Khanal will take charge as the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Sudan Gurung is set to become the Home Minister, and Pratibha Rawal will lead the Ministry of General Administration.

Similarly, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been appointed Minister for Energy, and Amresh Singh will head the Ministry of Industry. Other key appointments include Sunil Lamsal as Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Geeta Chaudhary as Minister for Agriculture, and Sasmit Pokharel as Minister for Education, Science and Technology.

Nisha Mehta will serve as Minister for Health and Drinking Water, while Sita Badi will oversee the Ministry of Women and Children. Sobita Gautam has been appointed Minister for Law.

In addition, Bikram Timilsina will take charge of the Ministry of Communications and Information, and Deepak Kumar Sah has been named Minister for Labour. Ganesh Poudel will lead the Ministry of Tourism.

The final list of ministers set to take the oath of office today is as follows:
