Ishwar Pokharel, a senior leader of CPN (UML), has urged party members to adapt their thinking to changing political circumstances rather than interpreting events to fit their own views. In a Facebook post, he stressed the need for unity, discipline, and self-reflection within the party, warning that opportunism, personal interests, and actions against party rules are harmful. He also highlighted the party’s tradition of collective leadership and internal debate, referencing efforts to revitalize it during the 11th National Convention. Claiming that the party is currently facing coordinated challenges, Pokharel called on leaders and supporters to stay committed, united, and mindful of the party’s history.
